Tournament Operations Infrastructure: IGHSAU State Soccer Tournament

Every June, the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) State Soccer Tournament brings together the most talented teams in the state. Managing a multi-day championship requires massive logistics. Above all, tournament directors, officials, and staff need a secure, climate-controlled command center right at the heart of the action.

We launched our tournament partnership in 2023 at the Cownie Sports Complex in Des Moines, originally backed by sponsor HUDU. When the state tournament moved to the Lied Recreation Athletic Complex in Ames, our mobile suites moved right along with them. Today, this setup remains a permanent, annually renewed staple of the IGHSAU’s infrastructure.

Instead of forcing staff to run a major tournament from a temporary tent, our mobile suites give the athletic union a turn-key, on-site headquarters:

  • Centralized Command Center: A secure, air-conditioned workspace for tournament coordinators and officials to manage schedules.
  • Elevated Venue Overview: The upper deck offers staff a commanding view of the complex to monitor tournament logistics in real time.
  • Premium B2B Hospitality: A private, professional space to host visiting athletic directors and key stakeholders away from the crowds.

A Mobile Blueprint for University & Complex Venues

Moving a state tournament to a new city and venue brings massive operational challenges. This multi-year partnership proves that Top Level Suites can adapt to any footprint. We solve venue limitations without permanent construction, whether at a local sports park or a major university athletic complex.

We handle the entire setup and teardown footprint. The IGHSAU team simply shows up and steps into a fully functional tournament headquarters. Our assets are just as valuable behind the scenes as they are on the sidelines.
