Keeping Up with the RAGBRAI 50th Anniversary Route

RAGBRAI is the oldest, largest, and longest bicycle touring event in the world. For its historic 50th anniversary, a national production company out of Arizona came in to help scale up the experience as the route rolled through major Iowa cities, drawing some massive crowds.

Moving hospitality infrastructure down the road every single day is a major logistical headache. To make things completely seamless for our client, we brought in a fleet of six mobile units and leapfrogged them from town to town. By keeping three suites in the active town and sending the other three ahead to the next stop, we ensured every single VIP area was fully set up and ready to go before the riders ever arrived.

The mobile suites created a premium daily destination for a mix of corporate groups and riders:

  • VIP Wristband Access: The suites provided an exclusive hospitality area for riders who purchased premium tour packages.
  • Local Corporate Hosting: Iowa businesses and community organizations purchased day passes to entertain their employees and top clients right along the route.
  • Turn-Key Event Space: The setup gave the out-of-state production company a premium, reliable venue asset in every single town without any setup stress.

Multi-Location Logistics Made Easy

Most event infrastructure companies struggle when an event changes locations daily. This multi-town deployment proved that Top Level Suites can handle a moving route across the state without breaking a sweat.

We handled the entire cross-state routing, setup, and overnight teardown so our client could stay focused on running the festival. The success of the 50th anniversary activation shows major event producers how easily our rental fleet can deliver a premium, multi-location VIP experience on a tight daily timeline.
